Masseria Moroset_Poolside_2023

Ostuni, Puglia, Italy

Masseria Moroseta

Perched on a ridge overlooking the "White City" of Ostuni and the sparkling Adriatic beyond, Masseria Moroseta is a modern masterpiece of rural hospitality. Designed by Andrew Trotter and built with traditional techniques and local tufo stone, this luminous white farmhouse is a sanctuary of radical simplicity. Immersed in five hectares of organic olive groves, it is a place where time slows down, and luxury is found in the quality of the light, the scent of wild herbs, and the shared joy of a long, creative lunch.

  • The Masseria offers an intimate selection of rooms and suites, each opening onto private gardens or stone terraces.

    • The Aesthetic: True to its minimalist roots, the rooms feature cool stone floors, high vaulted ceilings, and a neutral palette. Expect a curated mix of vintage finds and bespoke local craftsmanship.

    • Amenities: High-speed WiFi (for those who must), air conditioning, organic bath products, and a communal pool that is a triumph of geometric design.

Wine & Dine: The Moroseta Kitchen

  • Food is not just a service here; it is a philosophy. Under the direction of Chef Giorgia Eugenia Goggi, the kitchen has achieved cult status.

    • The "No Menu" Concept: Guests are invited to trust the chef on a gastronomic journey. There is no set menu; instead, meals are dictated by the morning's harvest from the biodynamic vegetable garden and orchard.

    • Cooking Classes: An immersive full-day experience where you pick your own ingredients and learn the art of "contamination" in cooking—blending Puglian tradition with global techniques.

    • The Table: Most meals are served family-style on the long communal table, fostering a sense of community that is the hallmark of the Moroseta experience.

Wellness & Activities

  • The Pool: A long, sleek stretch of turquoise water set against the brilliant white stone, the pool is the social and visual heart of the property.

  • Yoga & Retreats: The Masseria frequently hosts curated yoga and wellness retreats, utilizing the roof terrace or the quiet corners of the olive grove for sunrise practice.

  • Boat Excursion: For a change of pace, spend a day on the hotel’s private Riva Turbo Rosso, exploring the hidden coves near Gallipoli with chilled wine and local focaccia on board.

  • Minimalist & Laid-back. Think linen sets, canvas sneakers, and a wide-brimmed straw hat.

  • Rates start at EUR 350 per night.

You will be able to swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the most beautiful views in total relaxation and exclusivity, away from crowded beaches and loud places, during the trip. • Fly: The Masseria is just 35 minutes from Brindisi Airport (BDS) and 1 hour from Bari Airport (BRI).

  • The 84 Rooms Tip: Rent a vintage Fiat 500 for your stay. Navigating the narrow lanes lined with dry-stone walls is infinitely more fun in a classic Italian car.
