What’s the Story

• Hidden down a half-mile gravel drive winding through olive groves and oak woodlands, Le Lappe is an estate steeped in deep Tuscan heritage. Composed of two ancient stone structures—an 18th-century villa constructed upon medieval watchtower ruins and a 16th-century former convent—the estate has been cared for by the Galeffi family for three generations. First opened as a small retreat twenty years ago by Lorenza Benini Galeffi, the property reopened in 2026 following a complete restoration by AD100 designer Remy Renzullo alongside Lorenza’s son, architect Niccolò Calabrese de Feo.

• Tenuta Pratolino Estate: Set within hundreds of acres of private agricultural lands and olive groves sitting at an elevation of 600 meters above sea level.

• Saltwater Pool & Grounds: A year-round outdoor saltwater pool overlooks sweeping valleys, complemented by private dining setups arranged directly among the olive trees.

• Estate Olive Oil: Critically acclaimed, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil harvested from the estate’s high-altitude olive groves and available for purchase.

• On-Site Activities: Bespoke horseback riding, hiking, biking, cooking masterclasses, private wellness treatments, and personal training sessions on request.

Rooms & Suites

• With just 11 individually decorated rooms and suites, no two accommodations are alike. Every room features at least one working woodburning fireplace, deep soaking cast-iron bathtubs (most with separate freestanding showers), and hand-painted wall details crafted by Florentine artist Assia Pallavicino. Furniture combines Galeffi family antiques and 17th- and 18th-century auction finds curated across Europe, accented by textiles from Bennison, Carolina Irving, and Robert Kime. All natural mattresses were handmade in Florence by Arno Studio.

• English-Style Conservatory Restaurant: A hand-crafted, glass-walled garden conservatory bathed in candlelight at night, offering panoramic views of the forest canopy.

• Chef Sara Gonelli: Helmed by a local chef who grew up neighboring the estate, the kitchen delivers seasonal zero-kilometer Tuscan dishes, generational family recipes, and produce harvested directly from Tenuta Pratolino.
