Facilities

  • 26 individual rooms, divided between the historic inn and the 'Wälderhaus' - featuring traditional architectural characteristics of the Bregenzerwald with unique pieces of art. We stayed and loved room no 12.

Wine & Dine

  • Their 100-year-old restaurant is a place of understated elegance and 20th-century woodwork charm. You can also dine in one of their cozy 'Stuben'.
  • They deliver a very elevated meal with incomparable flavors and depth. Lettuces with sunflower seed dressing, & fermented black garlic mayo, braised goat ravioli, and natural Austrian wine. Orange wine came second, also from Eastern Austria, one one of Peter's top choices. Paired very nicely with grilled local char (from a lake nearby, like Constance), celeriac, and house-made Shiso, a medicine herb.

Hirschen Spa

  • Extensive new spa featuring a bathhouse, ecologically heated pool, sports deck, and a biodiverse garden inviting guests to enjoy all year round.

What's the Story

  • Peter runs the hotel with his sister Pia. They are 10th-generation family operators.

Sustainability

  • The chef and team work towards a zero waste approach by making sauces and fermentations, brines, and more all-in-house, by utilizing every part of plant, fruit, or animal.

Dress code

  • Cosy knitwear from Austrian label Michaela Buerger. Shop here.

Budget

  • Rates start at EUR 308 per night including curated cuisine.
