Facilities

  • 35 elegant rooms and suites – where alpine charm meets contemporary design. Natural materials, clean lines, and high-end finishes throughout. The hotel maintains a private and intimate atmosphere, offering plenty of space for a relaxed stay.
  • The 3.5-hectare sunbathing lawn with garden and pool provides an open panoramic view stretching from Dorf Tirol across the valley to Merano.

What's the Story

  • The Küglerhof has been run by the Dilitz family since 1972. Today, daughter Karoline warmly hosts guests at the hotel, continuing the tradition of heartfelt hospitality. Edith, the mother, takes care of the hotel’s interior design and elegant ambience. The hotel has long been a sanctuary for those seeking tranquility, inspiration, and authenticity. Over the years, this historic retreat has been carefully transformed into a boutique hideaway that blends timeless elegance with the warm hospitality of South Tyrol. It’s a place where the beauty of nature meets refined simplicity.

Wellness & Spa

  • Küglerhof offers a rich wellness program that unites body, mind, and soul in sync with nature, helping you slow down and unwind from everyday life.
  • Several times a week, guests can join a meditative morning walk with stretching in the nearby forest, as well as yoga or Pilates sessions held in the hotel’s spa area – and in good weather, outdoors beside the large infinity pool with breathtaking views over the Merano valley. All classes are tailored to individual needs, making them suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners, allowing each guest to reconnect with their inner strength.
  • The intimate spa area includes a sauna, steam bath, and a heated outdoor pool. Relaxation treatments and massages are available from Tuesday to Sunday. Outside, meadows and forested paths invite you to slow down and breathe.

Wine & Dine

  • At Küglerhof, the culinary experience is central. In the dining room with a view or out on the panoramic terrace, the kitchen team presents creative regional dishes with Mediterranean flair. Local ingredients, a respect for tradition, and a love for honest cooking define the experience. As soon as temperatures rise, guests are welcome to join the hotel’s regular barbecue evenings. Here, the day winds down with freshly prepared regional specialities, served according to the “farm to table” philosophy. Fruits and vegetables come straight from the hotel’s own garden, and meat and fish are sourced sustainably, with a focus on humane and local origins.

Budget

  • Rates start from EUR 410 per night, including halfboard and panoramic views.

Local Guide

Acitivites

  • There are plenty of activities such as hiking in the Merano Mountains, nordic walking (approx. 100 km), mountain biking (3000 km of trails) or helicopter tours in the Dolomites. Wine tastings, Vineyard & cheese tours, private guided hikes and paragliding.
  • The golf clubs Lana and Passeier are in the immediate area.
  • Cycling enthusiasts will love the well-connected trails that stretch through South Tyrol’s countryside, offering scenic routes with varying levels of difficulty.

What to See

  • Merano: A short drive away, this charming town offers boutique shopping, cultural events, and a vibrant atmosphere.
  • In December, visit the romantic Christmas market in Merano and sip an original Glühwein.
  • Visit the historical Kränzel Vineyards in Cermes, near Lana.

When to Go

  • The spa town of Merano is an all-year destination thanks to a mild climate that nurtures flowers and cherry trees while the surrounding peaks remain dusted with snow. We recommend the beautiful South Tyrolean summer from May to September.

How to Get There

  • By air: Fly into Bolzano (only 30 minutes and served by SkyAlps), Verona (1.5 hours), or Innsbruck (2 hours).
  • By train: Take the train to Merano (with a change in Bolzano).
