What's the Story
The Burg Hotel’s journey began in the early 1960s as a modest milk bar. After obtaining the first local beer license, Helga and Fridolin Lucian transformed it into "Gasthaus Burg". Fridolin was a true pioneer; he installed the first biomass heating plant in Oberlech and conceived the innovative tunnel system that keeps the village car-free in winter. Today, the third generation—Patricia and Christian Lucian—leads the family business with fresh ideas that seamlessly blend tradition and modernity.
Sustainability
Sustainability is a lived reality here. Beyond the car-free village and biomass energy, the hotel focuses on regional value. Many products are made in-house, from fresh bread in the hotel bakery to meat from their own private hunt. These are supplemented by ingredients from local farmers in Lech and the Bregenzerwald
