Hotel Guide

Facilities

  • Accommodations: Bright, luxuriously furnished rooms—some featuring balconies and open fireplaces.

  • Design: Modern alpine aesthetic with extensive use of wood and SAMINA sleep systems for maximum comfort.

  • Groups & Families: Apartments and chalets ideal for larger groups or family holidays.

What's the Story

  • The Burg Hotel’s journey began in the early 1960s as a modest milk bar. After obtaining the first local beer license, Helga and Fridolin Lucian transformed it into "Gasthaus Burg". Fridolin was a true pioneer; he installed the first biomass heating plant in Oberlech and conceived the innovative tunnel system that keeps the village car-free in winter. Today, the third generation—Patricia and Christian Lucian—leads the family business with fresh ideas that seamlessly blend tradition and modernity.

Sustainability

  • Sustainability is a lived reality here. Beyond the car-free village and biomass energy, the hotel focuses on regional value. Many products are made in-house, from fresh bread in the hotel bakery to meat from their own private hunt. These are supplemented by ingredients from local farmers in Lech and the Bregenzerwald

Wellness & Spa

  • Whether you seek the deep heat of the Finnish sauna, the scent of the organic Stone Pine sauna, or an infrared cabin with Himalayan salt blocks, the spa is a sanctuary. Highlights include:

  • Experience Showers: Featuring massage, mist, and rain effects.

  • Pure Romance: A whirlpool with an integrated fireplace.

  • Family Wellness: A dedicated area designed specifically for parents and children.

Wine & Dine

  • Dining at Burg Hotel is a gourmet journey across several venues:

  • Restaurant Burg: Sophisticated 5- and 6-course menus.

  • Burg Schenke: Hearty, traditional local specialities.

  • The Cellar: One of the world’s most impressive collections, housing over 60,000 bottles and 4,500 labels

Dresscode

  • Après-ski chic.

Budget

  • Rates start at EUR 500 per night. The hotel is open 9 months a year and only closes in late autumn (October and November) and late spring (May and June).
