My Arbor

My Arbor is a tree hotel, built on stilts, high up in the tops of the surrounding trees. A refuge on the tree-covered mountainside of the Plose, in the middle of nature and just 10 minutes from Brixen (Bressanone) in South Tyrol. As the hotel name suggests, the My Idea plays an essential role. My Arbor guests are invited to find what often comes up short in hectic everyday life: time for themselves and the greatest possible freedom for their own rhythm. Guests can design their time individually: Breakfast until noon. Swimming after sunset. Yoga or hiking. Massage or skiing. Culture in the bishop's town of Brixen. Biking or shopping.

  • My Arbor, my tree. The name of the hotel is full of meaning. A tree with strong roots, firmly anchored in nature and history - and yet open to the world. A tree that survives wind and weather as well as time and trends. A natural retreat that gives its guests a sense of security and safety. Living and sleeping in a soft nest in the treetops. My Arbor guests are invited to find there what often comes up short in hectic everyday life: time for arriving, time for being, time for the surrounding nature, time for oneself. This time can be shaped individually; in keeping with the My idea of My Arbor, every guest will find the answer to their own personal needs. Holidays without constraints with the greatest possible freedom for the guest's own rhythm. Breakfast until noon. Swimming after sunset. Yoga or hiking. Massage or skiing. Culture in the bishop's town of Brixen. Biking or shopping. The I may simply be I. At the tree hotel on the Plose.

Local Guide

Location & Setting

  • The hotel is a few minutes from Brixen (Bressanone), which is located in the north of South Tyrol and is the convincing symbiosis of the oldest town in Tyrol with its rustic alleys and a lively town center. Brixen’s cultural scene is both creative and exciting, with unique exhibitions and cultural tours. Art, culture and history have an important role in the old town of Brixen. Brixen’s old town offers an exciting arc between joie de vivre and contemplation. The cathedral square, unique in the Alps, the numerous sacred buildings, arcades, museums, craft traditions and archaeological gems invite to be discovered - as well as modern cafés and excellent restaurants, attractive shops and entertaining events.

Activities

  • In summer, the Plose near Brixen is one of the most beautiful "highlights" of South Tyrol with an impressive panorama of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites and the peaks of the Zillertal and Sarntal Alps. A mountain with hiking and walking trails, summit climbs with guaranteed views, freeride bike trails and mountain carts.
  • In winter, the mountain transforms into a modern skiing area between the Dolomites and the Sarntal Alps, ideal for winter hiking, sledding, and of course skiing. The Plose has the longest valley run in South Tyrol with the 9 km long Trametsch. Modern mountain cable cars quickly take guests up to 2,500 m in summer and winter. Romantic mountain huts invite to stop for a bite to eat.

When to Go

  • My Arbor is a perfect all-year-round destination with over 300 days of sunshine per year from where one can explore South Tyrol and enjoy everything this beautiful region has to offer during different seasons; alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and sledding in winter; hiking and biking in autumn, spring and summer, swimming in local lakes, attending local cultural events, tasting world-class white wine in local wineries, and experiencing Alpine and Mediterranean culture.

Annual Christmas Light & Music show (24.11.2023 - 07.01.2024)

  • Every year, South Tyrol's oldest town Brixen elevates holiday enchantment by pairing the authentic Xmas market with the one-of-a-kind light&music show in the courtyard of a 13th cent palace, crafted by the internationally acclaimed French light artists Spectaculaires. The ancient walls of the palace burst into life with the kaleidoscope of colours, imagery and music taking you into a fantasy world. This year's “COLORS. A Homage to Peace” Brixen annual Light & Music show takes the audience on a multi-coloured musical journey between dream and reality through the different seasons of human life and the different continents of the planet. Musical highlights will be provided by a children's peace choir, consisting of young singers from all twin towns of Brixen.
